Nominations are officially OPEN for the Newkirk’s MVP of the Week for 8/24–8/30! 🚀💙💛

We loved seeing your nominations last week, and now it’s time to tell us who deserves a little recognition THIS week!

Maybe it’s a student who helped someone out. 💙
An athlete who showed awesome sportsmanship. 🏈
A teacher who made the first week back a little easier. 🍎

🏆 Newkirk's very first M.V.P. of the week is Mindy Jackson! 🏆

Mindy is a first-grade teacher at Bundy Elementary and was nominated multiple times by people who described her as a caring, thoughtful, and truly wonderful teacher. The love she pours into her students is just one of the many ways she gives back to our community.

Mindy and her husband, John, also head up the Rocket Diamond Club, supporting our high school baseball and softball programs. Throughout the summer, they spend countless hours running the concession stand at the 327 Complex for our youth. It’s a demanding and often thankless job, but Mindy and John continue to show up, work hard, and do it all without ever complaining.

Choosing just one M.V.P. was incredibly difficult because we received so many heartfelt nominations for some truly deserving people. Thank you to everyone who took the time to recognize someone special in our community!

It’s our first Sunday with our new regular hours! 🥳 We’re here from 9 a.m.–2 p.m. with fresh-made sausage gravy and biscuits, breakfast sandwiches, coffee, energy drinks and all your Newkirk’s favorite drinks to help you power through your Sunday! ☕️⚡️

Since Sunday is now the final day of our bakery week, our treat selection may be a little limited, but we still have plenty of delicious reasons to stop by!

We’re also trying out fresh cinnamon rolls today! They’ll be ready a little later this morning, so stay tuned for another post when they’re hot and ready! 🤤
