A little Saturday morning trip to One Sixty Processing to look a few of our beef that are hanging there turned into a fun morning out.

They had a farmers market going on, so we spent some time visiting with the vendors, checking out what everyone had brought, and eating some delicious nachos.

We’ve been really pleased with the processing work they’re doing for us. There’s a lot that goes into raising beef long before it ever reaches the processor, and it’s important to us to know that the same care continues all the way through.

We sure enjoyed our morning at 160!

When animals are handled calmly and consistently, they learn to trust the people caring for them. That trust shows up in the pasture, in the pens, and on days like this when moving cattle is as simple as a quiet walk.
Gentle handling isn't weakness. It's good stockmanship.

A lot of y’all know us from the cattle side of things…
but did you know we also make small-batch tallow products here on the farm? 🖤

Our tallow is made from our own Black Angus cattle, hand rendered by us, and turned into whipped tallow balms and skincare products right here at home.

What started as “let’s make something clean and useful for our own family” slowly turned into something we genuinely love sharing with others.

So yes… the same people raising cattle are also over here in the kitchen rendering tallow, testing recipes, labeling jars, and trying not to make a complete mess 😂
