We were fortunate to pick up a couple pairs over the weekend at Pollard Farms, L.L.C. and Hopson Angus at their annual female sales.
Lot 59 from Hopson Angus has a fantastic heifer at side by Rhodes Yours Truly and lot 77 from Pollards has a very nice bull calf at side by EXAR Bonafide.

We knew she was special the minute we laid eyes on her. 🖤

Not only is she beautiful, she’s got the numbers to back it up.

We were excited to bring J&J Rita 553 home from the Oklahoma Angus Gathering. She combines the kind of look we love with a set of numbers and genetics we’re excited to add to our program.

$412 $C. $247 $B. Top 3% for marbling. Top 1% for functional longevity.

We’re looking forward to watching this girl develop and seeing what she can add to the Bledsoe Farms herd for years to come. 🖤

Pretty matters. Performance matters. We like having both. David Bledsoe Gary Bledsoe

Brought home this beautiful cow-calf pair from the Oklahoma Angus Gathering. 🖤

We’re always looking for females that will add something to the herd, and we’re really excited to see what these two do for us.

Pretty hard to leave a good Angus sale empty-handed. 😂

There are pros and cons to both, so I’m curious: spring or fall calving? What has worked best for you over the years?

We were glad to spend Saturday at the 27th Annual Oklahoma Angus Gathering Sale in Perkins. 🖤

One of the best parts of this business is getting to show up and support fellow Angus breeders and the programs they’ve worked hard to build. There were a lot of good cattle offered, and we were fortunate to bring a few home with us—a heifer and a cow with a bull calf at side.

We’re thankful for the people, friendships and good cattle that make up the Angus community here in Oklahoma.

Congratulations to all of the consignors on a great sale, and thank you for the opportunity to add these cattle to Bledsoe Farms. 🖤
