🚨 Frustrated with General Motors 🚨

Last year, I bought a 2024 Chevy Silverado Z71 with the Trail Boss package — you know, the off-road package that’s supposed to handle rough terrain. It had 4,000 miles on it when I got it, all put on by the dealership.

Fast forward one year — my truck now has 27,000 miles. I’ve taken excellent care of it, bought the extended warranty and maintenance package, and it’s supposed to have a 100,000-mile bumper-to-bumper warranty.

Then the check engine light came on. Took it in, and they told me the purge valve and piping were clogged. The first question I was asked:

> “Do you drive on gravel?”

Yes — I live in the country.

Well, apparently, that means GM won’t cover it. According to them, driving on gravel or in dusty conditions counts as “excessive wear and tear.” 🤦‍♀️

So now, I get to pay $600 out of pocket for a “fix” — adding extra piping and a filter that should’ve been part of the design for a truck marketed as off-road capable.

So here’s my advice:
If you’re buying a truck, ask if it’s actually meant to be driven on gravel — because according to General Motors, their off-road trucks apparently aren’t.

Turkey Talk: Why Do Male Turkeys Change Colors?

Ever notice how a male turkey’s head can turn red, white, or blue? It’s not just for the holidays — it’s how he shows off!

When a tom gets excited, shows off for the ladies, or challenges another male, blood rushes to his head and neck, changing the color of his skin. The brighter the colors, the bigger his “look at me!” moment.

Let’s break down his fancy face:
🔹 Snood – that funny piece hanging over his beak. When he’s strutting, it fills with blood and stretches out long to impress the hens.
🔹 Wattle – the flap under his chin that turns bright red when he’s fired up.
🔹 Caruncles – those little bumps on his head and neck that also change color depending on his mood.

So next time you see a tom strutting and flashing his colors, you’ll know he’s either flirting or saying, “I’m the boss!”

Stormy is worth his weight in gold. 🌟 He’s the steady, patient teacher every grandkid needs when they’re moving up from the minis. Today he carried not just one, but two little riders—teaching balance, trust, and teamwork while keeping his calm, gentle pace.

From tiny ponies to small horses adventures, Stormy makes the journey safe and fun. Watching the kids learn and grow with him is the sweetest reminder of why we love having these good old souls in the barn.

Who else has that one horse who’s taught more lessons than they could count?
