Such a special moment for our team and for Arizona’s West Coast Region. 🤍

At this year’s Arizona Governor’s Conference on Tourism, four regional awards were presented recognizing individuals and organizations making an impact in tourism:

✨ Destination Ambassador: honoring exceptional leadership, dedication, and contributions to advancing tourism in the region.

✨ Rising Star: recognizing an up-and-coming tourism professional who has shown exceptional drive, determination, and initiative early in their career.

✨ Marketing Initiative: celebrating an outstanding tourism campaign, initiative or event that successfully attracted visitors to the region.

✨ Stewardship Excellence: recognizing meaningful contributions to the cultural, environmental or historic preservation of the region.

We are incredibly honored to have received the Destination Ambassador Award for the West Coast Region. Getting to stand on that stage and represent the people, places and communities that make our corner of Arizona so special meant more than we can say.

And a huge congratulations to the other three West Coast Region award recipients, including our friend Wendy Stewart with Friends of the Lower Colorado, another Yuma-based organization doing incredible work for our region. 👏

It’s pretty special to see so many people from our region being recognized for the work they’re doing to move tourism forward and showcase everything our part of Arizona has to offer.🌵🌄
