We're a little late on this one, but good things are worth the wait. 🍺

Meet our April Employee of the Month — Rachel! She's a self-described stress baker who shows up to shifts with homemade treats for the whole team. She loves her fur family, and she's the one who got her book club — Read Between the Thighs (romance novels, yes, the name is intentional, no further questions 💛) — coming to The Bee monthly.

She didn't just join our team. She brought her people with her.

And to every single person who shows up and pours their heart into this place — thank you. The Bee is The Bee because of you. 🐝

Dad Joke of the Week: I was reading my neighbors' lips yesterday. If I read correctly, they were complaining about some really creepy guy that lives next door.

School is ending... it's time for Summer fun, and the Bee's got a great lineup to get you started! Don't bother making dinner, let our Food Trucks do the cooking for you. And don't forget to bring your camping/beach chairs Friday night for another Outdoor Concert!

Know any kids interested in learning chess? The Wendell Chess Club is offering a free introductory beginner lesson for students ages 8–17. And if you're an adult looking for a place to play, the club meets every Tuesday night at The Bee and welcomes players of all skill levels.

Wendell Chess Club is excited to offer our FREE Introductory Absolute Beginner Chess Lesson Session for students ages 8–17!

This class is perfect for students who have little to no experience playing chess. We'll cover:

♟️ Chessboard setup
♟️ How the pieces move
♟️ Check and checkmate
♟️ Basic opening principles
♟️ Fundamental chess strategy
♟️ How to play a complete game

Chess is a great way for students to build critical thinking, problem-solving skills, concentration, and confidence while having fun.

🎟️ Registration is FREE, but space is limited to 30 students. Advance registration through Eventbrite is required.
