If these walls could talk, they’d have quite a story to tell. The building where our farm store now welcomes customers has lived many lives over the decades. Long before shelves of soups, chicken, and farm favorites filled the space, it once served as our egg room. Go back even further, and it was where poultry was dressed and prepared.

Over the years, buildings have changed. Additions were built. Spaces were repurposed. What started as a small family farm in 1936 has grown and adapted over the years. But through all the visual changes, one thing hasn’t changed: our values.

Ninety years later, we still believe in hard work, caring for our animals, producing quality food, and treating customers like neighbors. The farm may look different than it did years ago, but the heart of it remains the same.

We typically process chicken every other week, which means fresh chicken is usually an every-other-week treat. But this week? You’re in luck! 🍀

Fresh chicken is available again in our farm store. If you thought you missed your chance or were already counting down to next week, consider this a happy surprise. Stop by while supplies last!

Whether you’re growing a few tomato plants in a raised bed or tending to a big backyard garden, healthy soil makes all the difference.

At Diemand Farm, we’ve always believed good compost should be accessible to everyone, whether you need a few bags for a small garden project or a few yards delivered to get the season growing. That’s why, despite rising costs everywhere, our compost prices haven’t increased in years.

Even our delivery charge within Wendell is still just $35 and remains among the lowest you’ll find locally. For surrounding towns, we work hard to keep delivery reasonable, too. We know gardening adds up, and if we can help make it a little easier to grow your own food, flowers, or backyard harvest, that feels worthwhile to us.

Our compost is made right here on the farm using a mix of manure from our chickens, turkeys, and cows, along with scraps from our commercial kitchen, turning what would otherwise go to waste into something that helps things grow.

Available by the bag or by the yard, whether your garden is little or large, we’re here to help! Learn more at thediemandfarm.com/compost.

A quiet reminder this Memorial Day. Hidden in one of our hanging baskets on the porch, this tiny nest feels like a symbol of home, safety, and the everyday blessings we hold close.

Today, we remember with gratitude those who made the ultimate sacrifice in service to our country.

It takes a village. For 90 years, our farm has been shaped not only by family, but by the countless people who have helped along the way: employees, friends, neighbors, and familiar faces who stepped in wherever they were needed.

Farming has always been a team effort. While a lot has changed over the years, one thing remains true: it takes many hands to keep a farm going.

Thank you to everyone who has been part of our story over the last 90 years. We couldn’t do it without you.

Just a heads up for the holiday weekend: we’ll be open Memorial Day from 8am–1pm.

Need to make a quick stop at our farm store on Monday? We’ll be here for a shorter day if you’re picking up something for the grill, an easy meal, or a few farm favorites for the holiday.

As we observe Memorial Day, we also remember and honor those who made the ultimate sacrifice for our country. Wishing everyone a safe and meaningful holiday.

Nothing says Memorial Day weekend quite like good food and time spent outside together.

This week’s fresh chicken arrived at just the right time for the long weekend. Whether it’s wings on the grill, chicken on the smoker, or an easy dinner after a day outdoors, we’ve got you covered.

Fresh chicken was processed today and is in our farm store now—but be sure to stop by soon, as it tends to sell out fast!

Today, most folks know us for our chickens, turkeys, and even our cows, but over the years Diemand Farm has also been home to horses, pigs, ducks, rabbits, and donkeys. This old photo is a fun reminder of just one chapter in our farm’s story.

A lot has changed over the last 90 years, but caring for animals has always been part of daily life here.

Do you remember any of the animals from years past? We’d love to hear your memories.
