We had a little surprise waiting for us in the barn this morning!

Overnight one of our cows decided it was time to welcome a new little one into the world. We weren’t expecting a calf just yet, so finding this sweet face this morning was a pretty great way to start the day.

Mom and baby are both doing well, and the newest member of the farm is already settling in. We’ll be keeping a close eye on them over the next few days.

We’re getting closer to our 90th Anniversary Celebration on Saturday 9/12, and one of the things we’re especially excited about is welcoming some wonderful local makers and small businesses to the farm!

First up is Dan's Veggies and Poplar Mountain Maple, with beautiful seasonal flowers, fresh vegetables, maple syrup, and popcorn kernels grown from their own corn.
We’ll also have Cuddles N' Hoots, featuring adorable custom crocheted animals—including their very cute crocheted dumplings!

And that’s just part of the celebration! There will be good food, live music, farm tours and demos, arts and crafts, and plenty of ways to enjoy a day at the farm. Visit thediemandfarm.com/90th for more details!

Family gatherings have always been a pretty big affair around here. There’s usually a lot of food, a lot of people, and somehow, always room for one more.

If someone unexpected showed up around mealtime, Elsie Diemand’s answer was simple: “Grab another can of green beans.” Then she’d pull up another chair.

Ninety years later, we still love that same feeling. Good food, family and friends, and a table where there’s always room for one more. It’s a pretty special tradition to carry on.

We have something new for Chuggs and his friends!

We’ve added a feed “gumball” machine by the animal pen. Bring a quarter, turn the k**b, and you’ll get a little handful of feed to share with our hungry friends. They’re already pretty good at letting you know when they think it’s time for a snack!

So next time you’re visiting the farm, stop by, say hi to Chuggs and his friends, and give them a little treat. They’ll be waiting for you!

Well, that was a pretty fun Saturday! We had such a great time at today’s Lunch on the Lawn and it was so good to see so many familiar faces (and plenty of new ones, too!).

The Can Collectors were amazing—as always—and you all definitely came hungry. We sold out of food! Thank you to everyone who came out, grabbed a plate, listened to some great music, and spent the afternoon with us.

And while this was our last Lunch on the Lawn of the summer, we’re not done celebrating just yet! Next month, we’ll be marking 90 years of our farm, and we can’t wait to share that special day with you. Visit thediemandfarm.com/90th for more details!
