Dear Leesport Shoppers - for tomorrow's market we bring Italian and Curly Kale, Micro greens - Arugula, two varieties of Mustard greens, also sweet Kohlrabi, short young leeks bundled to enrich your soups, sauces, even morning eggs. Chop them diagonally, finely sliced, saute them in olive oil or another healthy fat, they're tasty. We add them also our cold salads, Yummy! We also have plants: Basil, Parsley, Cilantro, Recau for your fall Sofrito, Sweet and Spicy Peppers, varieties of Tomatoes, Red and yellow Onions, Cucumbers, Celery, as well as mile long Beans, delicious and prepared similarly to regular filet beans, and of course our marvelous Pesto made with the freshest, mature Basil, our own garlic and organic Pine nuts. Check it out at Stand No5 under the pavilion.

For tomorrow's market we'll be bringing: Scallions, Cherry Tomatoes, slicing Tomatoes, Roma sauce tomatoes, Lettuce, Radicchio, Colored sweet peppers, Jalapenos, Poblanos, Green Beans, yard long Beans, Toscano Kale, curly leaf Kale, Rainbow Chard, Onions, Daikon Radish, Watermelon Radish, Eggplant: Sicilian, Asian, Standard Italian. Basil plants, Parsley plants.

U of Davis tests 100% Avocado oil in some our favorite prepared Mayos - turns out there are two that made the cut: Marianne's and Chosen. Unfortunately Primal Kitchen while insisting theirs is only made from/with/exclusively stated 100% organic Avocado oil was found to not be. Bummer. Appears for bulk buyers: Costco carries both of these brands.

Good morning to you all, today at Leesport we offer our most delicious PESTO. Freshly made yesterday it will keep in the fridge for at least a week. Of course, freezing is also an option. This is by far the tastiest I have made from our mature and flavorful Basil plants. Stop by, Pete has a tasting option. Let me know what you think. We also offer this product at the farm, let us know when you want to get some.
