🍏 Seasons they are a changin. Our little friends are back to school and we’re feeling a little reminiscent.

Every year we take the back-to-school photo on the porch and two things become clear. The first one is that the dwarf apple tree we planted eight years ago that was supposed to be an adorable 6 feet high for our small urban lot grew to be 33 feet high and appears to continue to grow an additional 6 inches every year like our children do.

The second thing is obviously it’s time to put them on a pie.

We’re bringing you In the Moody for Fall with house apples, wood-roasted garlic and a smoked Moody blue finish Roth Cheese that’ll have you begging for sweater weather and a brown butter latte (rip psl you had your moment) 🎃

We’ve only got two stops this week Mapleton Barn Thursday for Pizza Farm- rezzys required and you can catch us at SCOUT Wine Merchants Friday 5 to 8 for good times + wine pairings to class it up a little. 💅🏼

Two public stops this week and then we’ve got some very important personal business to attend to. 👀💍

One of our own is getting married this weekend and the flour girls have places to be, outfits to put on, waterproof mascara to test etc etc. A major internal department event, if you will.

But first, we feed you.

Pizza Farm Mapleton Barn on Thursday, then Friday we scoot over to Shorewood for pies + wine at SCOUT Wine Merchants. A very respectable little one-two punch.

After that, we’ll be occupied watching a beloved member of the Flour Girl universe do something legally binding and chic as hell 💅 We will not be taking questions at this time.

Come eat with us before somebody’s aunt requests Dancing Queen and then all bets are off.💃🏻🪩

August is trying to leave and we simply have other plans.

We’re wringing every last bit outta summer and this week is looking mighty fine, with an extra special event on Sunday. We’re back for the 2nd annual Pizza Night at Meadowlark Farm and Mill .

You don’t call yourself Flour Girl and then phone it in on the flour. Embarrassing. So from pretty much the beginning, we’ve worked with Meadowlark to get this very important piece of the pie exactly where we wanted it.

They kept the samples coming while we tested, tinkered and ate our homework. Now their Wisconsin-grown, organic, stoneground flour is woven into our whole operation. Our Detroit-style pies are built with it and our sourdough starter gets fed the good stuff too. This is why knowing where your food comes from gets us fired up.🔥

So Sunday we’re loading up the crew, the oven + the ice cream cart and taking this flour relationship back to its natural habitat.

Your ticket gets you all-you-can-eat wood-fired pizza + seasonal salad, buffet style. Come hungry. This is not the evening for a delicate little three-slice limit.

The last juicy bits 💦 of summer are upon us and we are simply not letting go. Our kiddos are headed back to school, we’re conducting high level negotiations over labubu keychains, and it feels like the Sunday Scaries x 20.

So naturally, we’ll be processing our emotions the old fashioned way: outside, together, with pizza.🍕🍕🍕

🌳 WEDNESDAY we’re back at Washington Park Wednesdays 4-8pm, feeding the people and generally carrying on.

👩🏻‍🌾 THURSDAY is a two-fer because apparently one farm in one evening simply cannot contain us. Find our sourdough husky bois at Mapleton Barn Pizza Farm 4-8pm, while we’re slanging Detroit slices at Stone Bank Farm Market 5:30-8:30pm.

🌽💃🏻 Coo coo cachoo farm season is popping off and so are our shop gardens. Kinda makes us want to dance with somebody. This year we have an annual pizza garden and a perennial pizza garden, this weeks special comes from both using house ground cherries + shish*tos + state fair corn from our farm partners Alsum Sweet corn + house basil 🌿

We were able to hit the Tosa Farmers Market to supplement our ground cherry harvest and the MKE farmers markets + farm for our wood roasted wedding veggie boards + West Allis Farmers Market for the rest of the bits and bobs. We can still tell you who’s growing where and why they’re growing. And that makes us really happy. Now here’s something to make you really happy, it can only be accessed after voting in the Wisconsin primary tho.. 🇺🇸 ⤵️

We’ve been busy in the best way possible – private events, weddings, corporate shindigs, and feeding the people wherever the people have summoned us.🫡

And we’ve got plenty of places to find us this week, but first things first:

Tomorrow is Wisconsin’s Primary GO VOTE.🗳️

Yall probably know by now that not only are we hot as hell for wood fired pizza, but we’re also hotter than hell over frickin voting. Local elections matter. Primaries matter. Voting matters. Your voice matters. So make it heard at the polls tomorrow.

Come find us this week, eat something blistered and beautiful, holla at ya girls, tell us you voted, wear your I VOTED sticker until it falls off, bring your friends. We’ve missed your faces.
