Putting up hay in my horse barn. It’s a great full body workout!!!

EDIT: just fyi: we traded this wagon of small bales with Bartelt Twin Pine Farm in exchange for some of our large round bales. Some people think we may be competition but in reality we work together very well!

I haven’t thrown small bales around since before Rodee was born because we use our more efficient large round baler. Roger built a loft in our horse barn to maximize our space and so now I have a convenient place for the little bales and to feed to my animal barn: goats, rabbits, donkey and horse.

No till straw garden is on its way. Deep straw helps prevent all the weeds and helps to keep in moisture. We haven’t had rain in a while, which makes it easier to cut and bale hay but then we need to water our gardens more. Pick your hard :) or rather, mother nature will pick for you.
