Working from home this week had one very tasty advantage... it gave me a little extra time to bake! 💚

We'll be opening the farmstand at 10:00 AM today with:

🍞 A couple of fresh sourdough loaves
🍔 Fresh sourdough hamburger buns
🥚 Farm fresh eggs

Whether you're planning burgers on the grill this weekend or just want a loaf of homemade sourdough for the family, we'd love to see you!

I'll also be taking orders throughout today for Sunday pickup. If you'd like to reserve bread, buns, or anything else, just use the link in the comments to complete our order form so I can make sure it's fresh and waiting for you.

🥖 We’re back from vacation—and I’m feeling refreshed, rejuvenated, and ready to bake! 🧁

This Sunday, the farmstand will be stocked with fresh sourdough bread and homemade muffins. Eggs will also be available throughout the week! 🥚

Preorders are always encouraged so I can be sure to have your favorites waiting for you. Please place your order by Wednesday evening at 7 p.m.

The wait is over! Fresh sourdough bread is out in the farmstand and ready for you this morning. 🍞💚

A huge thank you to everyone who stopped by yesterday—you completely sold us out of eggs! 🥚❤️

Unfortunately, we're still out of eggs this morning, but the girls have been hard at work, and I should have at least 1 dozen available after 5:00 PM today.

Thank you all for your patience, encouragement, and support. It means so much to our family and our little homestead.

🌿 Farmstand Update 🌿

I've decided not to open the farmstand today, and I wanted to let you know why.

First, thank you to everyone who stopped by today! You completely cleaned us out of eggs! 🥚❤️

As for the sourdough... I was tempted to try speeding up the process by using the freezer, but I've never done that before. The dough is looking absolutely beautiful, and I just don't want to risk ruining it by experimenting.

Sometimes the hardest part of homestead baking is knowing when to be patient. 😊

So instead of rushing it, I'm going to let it do its thing and bake it first thing tomorrow morning.

🌿 The farmstand will open by 8:00 AM tomorrow before I head to work.

Tomorrow's stand will have: 🍞 Fresh sourdough bread 🥚 At least one dozen fresh eggs (hopefully more if the girls cooperate! 🐔)

Thank you so much for your patience, your understanding, and for supporting our little homestead. I'd much rather wait a few extra hours and offer you bread I'm proud of than rush something that isn't my best.

🥖 Well... even sourdough has bad days! 🤦‍♀️

I hate making this post, but my entire batch of sourdough decided it wasn't going to cooperate today. Sometimes that's just the nature of baking with a live sourdough starter—it's a little unpredictable!

The good news is... I'm starting over! 💪

That means today's bread will be ready later this afternoon instead of this morning. I'll post another update as soon as it's cooled and out in the farmstand. I'm thinking sometime after 3pm.

Thank you all for your patience and understanding. I could have put out bread that wasn't up to my standards, but I'd rather start over and make sure you're getting the quality you expect from our little homestead.

🌿 Weekend Farmstand & Preorder Reminder! 🌿

As you plan your weekend, here's what's happening at the farmstand:

🥚 Fresh farm eggs will be available Friday, Saturday & Sunday.

🍞 Fresh baked goods will be available Sunday only this weekend!

If you'd like sourdough bread or your favorite baked treats, please place a preorder! Preorders help me bake just the right amount, reduce waste, and make sure your favorites are waiting when you arrive.

🍓 We'll be spending Friday and Saturday with our grandkids and picking fresh strawberries, so Sunday's baked goods will feature those delicious, fresh-picked berries!

📢 One more important update:
We'll be on vacation next weekend, so the farmstand will not be open.

If you need bread, eggs, or anything else next week, Wednesday will be the ONLY pickup day, and it will be by preorder only. If you'd like to stock up before we're gone, be sure to get your order in!

Today we celebrate 250 years of freedom, faith, sacrifice, and the blessings of living in this incredible nation.

At Loveland's Homestead Refillery, we believe the strongest communities are built on the values of God, Family, and Country. We are thankful for those who came before us, those who continue to protect our freedoms, and for the opportunity to raise our family, serve our community, and pursue our dreams.

Life has been a little extra busy lately! Between recovering from shoulder surgery and tackling a few big projects around the homestead, I've been a little quieter than usual.

The good news? The farmstand is stocked today with:

🥓 Homestead Adventure from the weekend 🥓

This weekend I tried something completely new... making homemade bacon for the very first time! 🙃

This is the curing stage that I started on Friday. Now comes the hard part—waiting and hoping I did everything right! 🤞

One of my favorite things about this homestead journey is learning new skills, trying new things, and becoming a little more self-sufficient every year. Sometimes it works perfectly, sometimes it's a learning experience, but it's always worth trying.
