She couldn't bring family heirlooms with her after the Holocaust.

But she carried something just as meaningful: the recipes she knew by heart.

Now, years later, Bertha "Mima" Kreisman's beloved Hungarian kokosh is being baked at Diamond Bakery by her grandson, Dan Buckfire, preserving a family tradition and honoring the woman who survived, rebuilt her life and shared her love through food.

Happy Independence Day! Our holiday hours for this weekend are as follows:

Friday, July 3 - 9 am to 5 pm
Saturday, July 4 - 9 am to 1 pm
Sunday, July 5 - 9 am to 3 pm

Due to the holiday, the bakers are taking a couple of days off, and we will not have fresh bread on Saturday and Sunday, and we will not have danishes and pastries on Saturday.

Dear Friends and Neighbors,

We are thrilled to share that beginning Tuesday, June 23rd, Diamond Bakery will be expanding our hours!

Over the past several weeks, we have been navigating some staffing challenges and operating on a reduced schedule. We are grateful for your incredible patience and loyalty during this time.

We have heard some concern in the community about our future — and we want to reassure you: Diamond Bakery is here to stay! The reduced hours were simply a practical step while we rebuilt our team, and we are now moving forward with renewed energy and commitment to this community.

OUR NEW HOURS STARTING JUNE 23RD:

Monday: CLOSED
Tuesday – Friday: 9:00am – 5:00pm
Saturday & Sunday: 9:00am – 3:00pm
