I love my fancy herbal tea blends, but sometimes “simple” works too. Been using a thyme, lemon, and honey tea for cough and cold relief … works very well. Did you know thyme is an evergreen plant and can give you yields right through the winter (if conditions don’t get too harsh)? Today is January 12, we still have a little snow on the ground, but I can easily clip thyme hanging off the edge of the herb spiral. This small amount will last me a few days. Gotta luv it!

Great story. Excellent herbal teas.

Great story. Excellent herbal teas.

I started Sacred Blossom to farm for health. My Health, Your Health and the Health of the Planet. My favorite role is growing the herbs that go into Sacred Blossom teas but you’ll find me doing everything from package design to packaging teas. Sending emails to sorting seeds.

Born in California, I went to highschool in Costa Rica then business school in Argentina. I dropped out to start a horse tour company and run a beachfront restaurant in Uruguay. Then I became a barefooted global nomad, of course.

At 22 I met Farmer Paul, a then 70 year old, life long student of health; soil, plant, animal and spiritual. He taught me so much and had a tremendous impact on my path. I learned under Paul for six growing seasons (nomading during Minnesota’s long winters) then went on a two year long farm tour, culminating in working on a large-scale herb farm in Minnesota.

I started Sacred Blossom in spring 2016 on rented land at Crazy Rooster Farm. I was blessed to find this beautiful farm in a community with many small-scale organic farms.

We are growing herbs on about 20 acres and our herbal teas can be found in most every food co-op in Minnesota and Wisconsin, as well as Woodman's Markets, Festival Foods, Sendiks Food Markets and dozens of gift shops, coffee shops, apothecaries, and farm stores throughout the country.

My top priority in life, in farming, and in business is to leverage my energy toward encouraging wellness sustainably and responsibly.

Follow our page to witness the care and magic that goes into each batch of our living herbal teas.

Since my own hand made herbal tea stock is dangerously low while we are taking a break from production, I researched farms that were making herbal teas up to my standards and this farmer (Tony) is doing a great job. I ordered a large supply and can say that I absolutely love his teas. Highly recommended!

Nice turnout today at the West Boylston Holiday Gift Market. More than a dozen great vendors and good community support. Thanks to all our customers who stopped by the booth to sample our teas and pick up some holiday gifts. And special thanks to The School Yahd for hosting at their cool facility.

Our twelfth and final herbal tea blend for 2022 is done and ready for Sunday’s West Boylston Holiday Gift Market. We call it “Precious Red Tisane”, for blood and circulatory wellness. Karen says this might be her favorite, and she doesn’t understand how I can just mix up 8 or 10 herbal ingredients and make it taste good. Ah, but the Tisane Meister never reveals his secrets (well ok, if you twist my arm, it starts with healthy plants grown in biologically complete soils).

The tea blend looks appropriate for the holiday season, don’t you think? I think this will be one of the two teas we use for the free tasting tomorrow. Come on over to the West Boylston Holiday Gift Market and try some.

Our latest herbal tea blend, completed on November 18, was designed to support the health of your immune system. We call it “Defend Well Tisane”. It is golden brown in color with a savory taste and aroma, with notes of thyme and a touch of garlic coming through. You can get some Sunday, December 4th, at the West Boylston Holiday Market at the School Yahd. We’ll have 11 other teas available as well. Will post the event notice soon. Stay tuned.

What a great day this past Saturday for Almanac Acres Farm and our family. We hadn’t been to the Fall Fest since the kids were little. The atmosphere was so festive and full of energy. As a 28-year West Boylston resident, it’s so nice to see a community event like this in town. Our herbal tea sales exceeded expectations. We met so many people who enjoyed the tastings and the conversation about the story behind our new small farm endeavors.

We were so busy, I never got a chance to step back and snap a picture ☹️. Thanks so much to all of you, our new customers, who stopped by and gave our herbal tea a try.

We introduced two new tea blends at the Fall Fest - Winter Wellness Tisane (for cold season support), and Stiff Drink Tisane (for overall joint wellness). Ingredients listed in the pictures below. Stay tuned for the next market and the opportunity to purchase our teas. Think about the people on your holiday gift list who might enjoy a healthy locally grown and blended beverage.

Had a nice time Saturday at the West Boylston Public Market at the The School Yahd. Met some great new vendors and chatted with lots of enthusiastic customers.

Gave out free samples of hot tea - our Wachusett Meadow blend, a mild blackberry flavored Tisane. Based on feedback, I think this formula is a winner that we’ll bring back again next fall (almost sold out for this year).

We are very grateful for the opportunity to sell in our hometown at the West Boylston Public Market. We are looking forward to coming back again in December.

Another great day yesterday at the Sterling Street Market! Gave out free samples of hot tea - our latest blend, the mild ginger-flavored Heads Up Tisane (for cranium wellness). Almost drained the entire airpot, more than 1/2 gallon.

Based on customer feedback, and the fact that it immediately became our second-best-selling blend (behind Super Berry), we are very pleased with our ginger harvest this fall. Fresh ginger brings great flavor/ aroma and excellent plant nutrients to our herbal tea blends.

We are also very grateful for the opportunity to sell at the Sterling Street Market. So many great vendors and a festive, music filled environment. We hope to be back one more time in October. Thank you Jane Morgan https://www.facebook.com/jane.morgan.5243

Our first October herbal tea blend is called Heads Up Tisane (for cranium wellness). Ingredients: Ginger Stalk, Mullein, Lemon Balm, Ginger Root, Spearmint, Goldenrod, Lavender Leaf, Valerian Root.

It has a nice aromatic mild ginger flavor and is a pleasant light tint of greenish yellow. We did a free taste testing at yesterday’s Sterling Street Market - lots of compliments! I think my favorite was the young gentleman who said, “really nice, perfectly balanced.”

The secret ingredient of course is our own farm-grown ginger. Check out the pictures (as it comes out of the soil, sliced ginger rhizomes ready to go into the dehydrator, and a pile of the final dried tea blend).

A new addition to our fall lineup of herbal tea blends is called Gut Harmony Tisane (for digestive system support).

Ingredients: Ginger Stalk, Lemon Basil, Black Raspberry Leaf, Elderflower, Hops, Ginger Root, Spearmint, Yarrow, Wintergreen, Rosemary.

It is a nice light golden color. The primary flavor is lemon-ginger with subtle hoppy and minty notes.

Our farm-grown freshly harvested ginger makes this tea extra special!
