Ahh, a week of old-fashioned stuff:
made a few loaves of "renal-friendly" white bread for my main squeeze, Jordan.
had a sweet surprise of my BFF and her hubby stopping by unexpectedly. Convinced them to stay for a dinner of lasagna soup and salad.
started a new sourdough starter (I'm calling her "Sallie McSourdough"). We'll see how successful she is in a few weeks.
decanted my homemade apple cider vinegar. Sanitized fermenting jars, then began Red Wine Vinegar, White Wine Vinegar and Beer Vinegar. Their yummo tartness will be ready in 4 - 6 months, just in time for summer salads and grilled fish.
took buttercream 101 to my friend, Stephanie Middleton Christian's house and played with her and my kids, making strawberry compote-filled cupcakes with almond vanilla buttercream with that fun crew.
Later today, taking vanilla from the mother jar and starting the 2x process for next year's vanilla extract (I make my own vanilla extracts, for me, a 2 to 3 year process to get it to double or triple strength.)
I love this kind of stuff! My waistline? Not so much. lol.
