It's my favorite time of the year! Thanksgiving & My Birthday (11/27)!!!
And let me NOT forget...Holiday Baking Season! Don't get caught out there in these turkey streets without these sweet holiday treats! I am making pies and coquito to purchase again. So you can just focus on your main dishes and leave the desserts to me. And if pies are not your family's thing, I also do speciality orders like red velvet cupcakes, vegan chocolate chip 🍪, gluten free brownies, etc. So don't worry, I got you!

Dear ...
I don't know if anyone has told you but these Pumpkin Spiced Joe - Joe's are of THE DEVIL 😈!!! I literally had to throw them in the back of fridge after that first bite because then I proceeded to eat 3 MORE cookies instead of just the 1. And now tonight I go to grab something out of the fridge for dinner... Guess what has somehow migrated from the BACK of the 2nd SHELF to the FRONT ROW CENTER?!
I REBUKE THEE PUMPKIN SPICED SPHERES of DECADENCE !!!
(Disclaimer: This is real my petition to make these permanent or at least keep until the end of Christmas 🤞🏼😁🤞🏼)

So apparently today is... National Gumbo Day!!!
I lived in New Orleans and attended . ROLL WAVE 🌊!!! So I know a thing or 2 about Gumbo. I would have made some myself if today was a national holiday.
This is a tribute post to The Infirmary. This was my friends and I go-to spot for brunch, birthday celebrations, anything really. It was arguably the BEST New Orleans Cajun/Creole restaurant in NYC. Don't @ me. This is NOT a debate.

I don't have an appetite early in the morning so I keep some food items at work to save money and try to maintain a visible waistline... because those BECs (bacon, egg & cheese) on a crossiant from the corner bodega be SCREAMING my name 🤤...

Breakfast & Lunch of a Bourgie Belle in the City:
Plain Greek Yogurt (Whole Milk)
Keto Granola
2 egg frittatas
A couple of strips of pre-cooked Bacon 🥓
Nectarine
A FEW CUPS of coffee ☕ (For my nerves)
Look Mom! All the major food groups... even VEGGIES 😇!!!

Spicy Calamari with Bacon & Scallions on top of Hearts of Palm Rice...
Pre-Keto I would've served this with basmati rice. This time around I switched it out for the hearts of palm ( ). Best decision... EVER!!! Takes on more flavor and cooks up faster than regular rice. Plus, it's low carb.
