The Minnesota State Fair is unlike most state fairs, with 4-H exhibitors receiving a limited number of trips per species. That means earning a spot at this show takes hard work, dedication, and a whole lot of determination. Only the very best get the opportunity to represent their counties, making the competition in the ring truly the best of the best.

We are incredibly proud of the kids and the countless hours they put into preparing, practicing, and working toward this moment. Their dedication showed in the ring, and we couldn’t be happier to celebrate their accomplishments at one of the most competitive shows of the year! 🐑💙🏆

We love sharing the banners, ribbons, and good show results, and we’re proud of every one of them. But showing livestock is about so much more than what hangs on the wall. It’s about the lessons learned, the tough ones that make you better, the confidence gained, the friendships made, and the memories that last a lifetime.
One of the things we love most about the livestock industry is the opportunity to give back and help get young people involved. As we prepare to give away ewe lamb #5 this March to a youth showman, we’re reminded just how special this journey has become. Babydolls have brought our own family closer, helped us reach goals together, and created connections that extend far beyond our farm.

We’re grateful for every family who has made one of our sheep part of their story, and so proud of every youth who has taken one into the show ring. Keep setting goals, reaching high, and achieving things far beyond what hangs on the wall.

We had a great day at the Minnesota Youth Livestock Expo 🥳

Babydolls were the largest breed shown yesterday with 24 babydolls and 13 exhibitors! Every babydoll looked amazing and we’re so happy for everyone 🎉

Our 2026 Essay Contest Winner update 🎉

Brynleigh chose the black ewe lamb option, Jet Black Beauty (aka Monkie)! After just a week of having her, they’re already hanging banners together!

Monkie is sired by Playboys N Kahlua 🤍 and out of Callie. This was Callie’s last year lambing for us and she gave us two great ewe lambs! Monkie’s twin sister, Playboy’s Kahlua Darling, just completed her journey to Oregon with a few of her friends and we couldn’t be happier for both of them! ☺️

We are so excited for Brynleigh and Monkie, and cannot wait to see what else they will accomplish together! 🎉
