Let’s Get Local: Live From the Farm 🌱
This year, Lancaster Farm Fresh Co-Op is celebrating 20 years!
What began in 2006 with seven farms meeting on hay bales in a Lancaster County barn has grown into a community of over 100 member farms — built on one shared belief: farmers are stronger when they work together.
Instead of competing, they chose collaboration. Today, Lancaster Farm Fresh Co-Op is a farmer-led cooperative where growers are also decision-makers — shaping not just what they grow, but how they support one another and care for their land.
At the heart of it all is a shared commitment to environmental stewardship — farming in partnership with nature to build healthy soils, protect waterways, and preserve farmland for future generations.
As a non-profit co-op, value created beyond operating costs goes directly back to the farms, strengthening livelihoods and keeping farming a sustainable way of life.
More than anything, LFFC is about people — farmers who take pride in their work, feeding their communities and building something that lasts.
Here’s to 20 years of growing together, and many more seasons ahead 🌾
