THE LOW-DOWN AT UPCOUNTRY
The word on the street is that Top C**k Tony will be mandating new protocol down on the farm. Our hens tell us that effective Monday, March 23rd, the following adjustment will be made:
As the farm is closed on Sundays, beginning on Monday our farm store will be open from Noon to Four.
During these hours of operation, nobody from the farm will be attending the store. We will, however, still be on the farm and TCT will be writing down license plate numbers. In times like this, our algorithm defaults to the honor system. Said algorithm still only accepts cash or personal check.
If you visit the store and don't see any eggs in the refrigerator, then that's bad news for both of us. However, if you roll up and you do see some eggs in the fridge, here's the low-down:
The price per each individual dozen will be clearly marked on each carton.
Honey is $20 dollars per two pound glass jar.
There is a limit to two dozen eggs per customer.
When you enter the store you will see a table with a basket on it. Simply grab your items and place your money in the basket if you have the exact amount, or just write a check with your own pen. If you need change, grab an envelope (next to the basket) with the same number on it as is due back to you...Nothing bigger than a twenty - and if you pay with two dollar bills the price is doubled.
We'll see how this goes and notify you of any adjustments moving forward.
