CALL FOR ARTISTS — Earth Art Sanctuary, Durham, Maine 🌿
We are calling in artists who work with land, natural materials, and the creative potential of impermanence.
This summer, we are opening the Earth Art Sanctuary — a living forest sculpture park on 110 acres in Durham, Maine. We’re inviting artists to create site-specific installations along a walking forest trail, with an inaugural public celebration on July 18, 2026.
We’re looking for artists working in: — Earth-based & ecological sculpture (natural, reclaimed, or living materials) — Land art & site-specific installation — Ritual, ceremony, or contemplative practice as art form — Sound, movement & ecological performance — Collaborative or participatory creative processes
We especially welcome BIPOC artists, Indigenous artists, immigrant artists, and youth artists. Experience with outdoor installation is valued and genuine curiosity and a relational connection to land matters more.
