Small Beginnings
So happy we have our little herd of beefs.
In 2014 we started with two heifers and Rob’s dad bought two more... so we had four. Rob was scared I’d be mad with him because we didn’t have two pennies to rub together and it’s not something we had talked over. But they were Red Angus, and cute to boot, and I’m a sucker for little fluffy beefs so he’s still alive!
Now we have 85 of them out there (more than dairy cows now!) and we’re excited that every year we get closer to our goals. Farming is all about patience and timing. At least in our case, and as started-from-scratch full-time farmers we’ve rarely hit good timing but definitely have the grit, patience, and passion to keep the dreams alive.
You've gotta love what you do, if you don't, then you gotta change it up. That's what we did and how we’re here today. We just love caring for animals and are proud of what we do and what we raise.
