Yesterday our family planted the patch for the season. We finished up as the rain was starting to sprinkle on us. I hurried up and took this picture. Mother Nature can be brutal. What was forecasted as “less than a half inch” became 6-7 inches of rain causing the worst flooding I’ve seen. Our seed that had been in the ground for less than an hour was all washed away. We pray for rain, we just didn’t know it would be quite that much. The patch definitely doesn’t look like this now.
We send up prayers to all the farmers who were affected by the rain and flooding. We pray for those whose houses had flooding. 
Thank you to the electric company, fire department, and police who were out all night because of it all.
Have no fear, we are sitting down today and getting another round of seed bought. We still plan to bring you great pumpkins this fall! 🧡
