Thank you doesn’t begin to express our gratitude to all of our customers who came out to see us at Good Makers Market! The heat was beyond brutal, and yet you all showed up! ❤️
Our goal was to keep you cool with ice-cold Lemon Shake Ups while keeping your wait time as short as possible. We added a front tent for extra shade and brought in additional fans to help keep everyone as comfortable as possible. Even under the scorching sun and in the extreme heat, you continued to show up and support small businesses, and we are beyond grateful. 🥵🍋❤️
For those who don’t know us personally, we are a family of four — husband, wife, son and daughter. When you support our business, you are truly supporting our family. That means more to us than you probably realize.
For me personally, this is my 30th year making Lemon Shake Ups. I could have never dreamed that 30 years ago this is where it would take me. What started so many years ago has become something our entire family gets to be a part of, and we are incredibly thankful for every person who has supported us along the way.
To Jess and Steve — thank you doesn’t begin to express our gratitude for all of your hard work in the extreme heat all week long. You worked incredibly hard and it showed! ❤️
To our crew — thank you for sticking it out through the grueling heat with very little relief. We appreciate every single one of you!
To our kids — thank you for always being there and sticking with it, even when there are things going on elsewhere. Having you by our side means more than you know. ❤️
And finally, to Ruben — thank you for all of it. You do so much behind the scenes to keep everything running, and we couldn’t do this without you. Many of you noticed that we ran out of popcorn, and that was my decision. I wanted to keep him safe during this heat wave. That kettle runs over 500 degrees when it’s in use, and with the extreme temperatures, I knew it simply wasn’t worth the risk.
We have a few more events coming up this fall, and we’ll also be offering popcorn and lemonade for the holidays, so be sure to stay tuned for updates!
