Sonny's Honey & Apiaries, LLC I am retired after 31 years at Honda and doing Beekeeping full-time. My oldest son started beekeeping in 2000 for a Vo-ag project with one hive.

After that I kept it going and have increased our hives to around 100. We sell local pure honey and beeswax.

One of the great things about being in the honey business is all of the people you get to meet that you wouldn't have otherwise. We've met a lot of really great people over the years. At the top of that list is George and his wife, Jane, from Columbus. Our former Champaign county bee inspector, Paul Reuter, sent them to us after he got out of the honey business. They have been married 70 years and are 2 of the nicest people you would ever want to meet. We were blessed to get to visit with them yesterday.

Next bee meeting is this Saturday, October 10th from 9am-11am. This will be the last regular meeting of the year.
We are talking about having a potluck in November but it will be the first Saturday, November 7 at 4 pm. We will discuss it more at the October meeting. Hope to see you then.
