Been waiting for this day for a while now, but the finest cow on the farm had a calf this afternoon, a bull calf but he'll probably stay around to replace our current bull.

She missed classification, but the classifier estimated her at 88 points as a dry cow. Excited to see what she looks like when they come back to score

We had our first time scoring cows yesterday

Didn't get a good udder picture of her, and the inch and a half of rain didn't make her look pretty ,but were really happy. She was the first Brown Swiss we bought when we decided to start buying dairy cows in 2020

Thanks to the Headings Homestead Farm crew for getting them clipped and ready

We're excited to see what she does next time!

Elmhurst-SDMY Beaver Layla hit the ground running in her first ever trip to a show. She freshened in late February and attended the Ohio Spring Dairy Expo at the end of March where she did quite well!
