It’s been a while, so let’s have an update on life around the farm. We welcomed our third human child to the farm last year. He surprised us with a genetic condition called Apert Syndrome. Because of this, we have been scaling back on some of our previous farm activities, at least in the short term, while we navigate his early life surgeries, therapies, and other appointments.
Buckeyes 🌰 are beginning to fall and we are harvesting as the mosquitoes and schedules allow 😅 the Etsy page will be updated once they are dried, sorted, and counted.
Peacock 🦚 feathers have been molted and are updated on the Etsy page. Unfortunately, Helga allowed all of her eggs to be eaten this year, so no chicks. We will attempt to steal and incubate her eggs next year.
Puppies 🐶 we attempted a breeding with our new male and female (Gus and Sadie, more information on the website). They were a little timid and need time to get more comfortable with each other. We will make another puppy attempt in the winter.
Pigs 🐷 the piggy area is under construction. It’s unfortunately one of the areas that had to slide with the family’s new medical burden. We hope to get it back up soon so we can offer local pork once again.
Cows 🐮 we posted about Quill’s 2026 calf, Penelope earlier in the summer. She is now on her way to a new home. Doodle, Quill’s 2024 calf, is now for sale as an open heifer. Contact us if you are interested in a family Jersey milk cow.
Etsy prints 💜 we have a few religious prints and farm prints available, with more coming. We also have the adorable stickers linked here!
