It looks like spring is FINALLY here. Our hens are laying again and we have PLENTY of fresh brown eggs in our store. The cost of our feed has not increased in a few years so our eggs are still $6 a dozen.
Judy (of growingwithfood.com) and I have been planting our vegetables so I expect our farm store to be full of greens by the end of May.
Roger and I have a new puppy!!! So please be careful when you drive in and out of our driveway.
Hooray for Spring!!!!

Welcome cold spring! We’ve just received our onion starts from Dixondale Onions. They are in our store for sale for you gardeners.now is the time to plant them!

Two pond farm is full of beautiful produce!! The hens are laying like crazy and we have dropped the price to $5 a dozen.
My farmer friends Judy and Dawn are bringing beautiful organic produce daily for the store (broccoli,celery, beans, beets, chard , kale, kohlrabi, summer squash, cucumbers and now tomatoes and more!), and pesto and elderberry syrup and local honey.
Our gardens here are producing beans, beets, arugula, tomatoes, cucumbers, onions and garlic.
We have processed our first set of chickens for the year and those plump whole chickens are available…you just have to see me. They’re still $4.50 a pound.
So come to the farm! I’ll either be in the gardens or in the kitchen. Or if it’s Tuesday morning I’ll be watercoloring here with my painterly friends.

We have harvested our first lucious arugula and lettuce from our gardens and they are in our store!!
We still have heirloom organic tomato and pepper plants for sale ($4 each) and it’s FINALLY warm enough to plant them.
I planted twelve of our tomato plants today and hope to plant pepper and eggplant plants tomorrow.
Impatiently waiting for rain.

Snowing today!! Judy and I are getting excited about the workshops we will be giving starting in February. Time for us to share our decades of organic vegetable gardening experience!!
Judy’s coming up with delicious lunch menus and I’m organizing my thoughts.
We’ve had two deaths here in the past 24 hours. The young fawn who grazed here alone was hit by a car. Roger took her body way back into the forest to share with the forest carnivores. Our oldest (and very old) ewe died this morning. Roger took her back to the forest also. Our gift to the creatures of the wild. Part of the balance.
