I mean, what’s better on a kid’s resume than “I built a custom enclosure for peacocks while apprenticing at the oldest continuously operating boat shop in the country”?

Yesterday, we took on the lifetime care of these two beauties, survivors of terrible neglect. They are safely housed in a temporary space for now, while we work with the apprentice program at Lowell's Boat Shop to build a permanent home for them. Their students get real-world experience while helping sanctuary animals and their people - kindness all around! We are raising funds for site prep, materials, and medical care for these two, and every bit helps. Please share widely, toss a buck in the hat if you can, and send us your good wishes as we get to know each other. You make our motto ring true: We are indeed "Not Poor(e) in Hope".
