These little ones' wing feathers are telling me they will be frizzles, and I haven't had any of my keeper chicks end up as frizzle hens (only roosters).

Two little serama chicks hatched a few days early from our fertility testing, so they get extra love while we wait for the rest of the incubator to hatch! We had some broody hens when we pulled these eggs, so they likely started developing before being put in our incubator. These guys (along with the remaining serama and barn yard mix eggs we are testing) will be joining our flock once they are old enough.

Some beautiful eggs from our large breed hens! At least some of our ladies are earning their keep (I'm looking at you, serama hens).

The snow and cold from the last few weeks has significantly slowed down the serama egg laying. With warmer (than it has been) days in the forecast, we are hoping our ladies resume quickly!
