Rosie says even in the rain I have to get my annual haircut 💇‍♀️. We just had to move into the barn instead of under the tent.

✂️🦙 It’s one of the most exciting days of the year at ElfPaca Meadows. Join us at farm on Libby Road (West Newfield) Saturday, May 9 from 10am–3pm for our annual Alpaca Shearing Day event!

Watch professional shearers carefully remove the alpacas’ luxurious fiber during this once-a-year process that helps keep the animals healthy and comfortable heading into the warmer months. Did you know alpaca fiber is prized for being incredibly soft, naturally insulating, and hypoallergenic? A single alpaca can produce several pounds of usable fleece each year!

Visitors will have the chance to:
🦙 Watch live alpaca shearing
🌄 Take in the beautiful Presidential Range views
🥕 Feed alpaca treats
🛍️ Browse the farm boutique
🐷 Meet the hairy pigs, kune pigs, peacocks, and emu
🌮 Enjoy food truck offerings on-site

This family-friendly event is open to the public at no charge and is a wonderful way to experience farm life up close while learning more about these amazing animals.
