On Day Four: It was a big and exciting day! Even with a little hiccup.. We had the driveway area cleared, and we underestimated mud season in Maine. We knew we wanted to start our first building in the spring/beginning of summer to put a “pole barn” as we call it even though more of a shed. We thought we could get the wood up the driveway to the building area which was not the case. After hours of getting the wood delivery truck unstuck we came to the decision that we needed to put in a driveway before anything else. So, here we are! Officially, have a BEAUTIFUL driveway in! We want to thank WG Excavation for giving us a beautiful driveway to access our main building area. Will from WG Excavation met with us multiple times, walking the land with us and giving his professional opinion on what would be the best for our dream. He was beyond fair in pricing and his work was incredible. We truly cannot thank WG Excavation enough. Little did we know, at that point, we were gaining a lifelong friend. Thank you Will, for everything. We are incredibly lucky to have crossed paths with you. You have a lifelong customer here with Stone Birch Farm!

Here on the farm, we ended the day looking over our property with a beer in hand. We celebrated with a cheers to ourselves, family, Re*****on 🐾 (of course), and being so lucky to have a piece of land to call our own. This is just our beginning 🌳🤎🤍🤎🌳

On Day Three: More exploring was done, along with the starting of something big! We met with a wonderful Forester to ribbon off the areas we wanted to start selective cutting. We were able to learn so much from him, we learned the type of trees and vegetation our land provided. We told him our dream and he gave us in-site to what trees we should keep and what we should get rid of that will help us, but also help the wildlife on our property thrive even more! We want to give a huge thanks to Caleb from Wadsworth Woodlands for easing all our concerns, keeping the land incredibly clean with no trace that big machinery was even there, but most importantly, treating our property like it was his own!

On Day Two: This was the day of exploring our newly owned property. There were many steps and miles walked (well, ran for Re*****on) on finding our property boundaries. We happened upon an old car from back in the day! Finding this history on the land and the life the land used to have was that much more of incentive to bring her back to her full potential!

On Day One: We are landowners! Meet David and Ally (and Re*****on 🐾) We had a dream of owning a piece of land, we finally made that dream come true. We loved the thought of having something that was ours that we could grow on, be closer to the land with a simpler way of life. This opened so many doors for us and our family.
