Some of the toughest germs in water aren't stopped by chlorine. Cryptosporidium and Giardia are known for resisting chlorine disinfection. Ultraviolet (UV) light inactivates them.
UV disinfection has been validated through microbial testing, and that testing produced performance data on the UV dose needed to inactivate Cryptosporidium, Giardia, E. coli and f***l coliform. UV light disrupts the DNA of these microorganisms so they can't reproduce or cause infection. The U.S. EPA recognizes UV as an effective treatment for Cryptosporidium in public water systems.
At Soft Water Techs of Palm Beach, an authorized Hague Quality Water dealer, we install UV systems sized to your home's flow rate and water conditions. That way your water gets the right dose every time you turn on the tap.
