Waking Up the Tea House ☕️✨

There’s a quiet magic before the first guest arrives.

This morning started at Whole Foods. Filled the fridge with fresh milk, local fruit. Every ingredient matters when you’re serving presence in a cup.

Then the ritual begins.

I inspect each tea, each tincture, each bottle. Today I made a fresh batch of butterfly pea coconut water—that electric blue transformation always feels like alchemy. 🌊

Every table gets a small flower arrangement. I fluff the pillows, adjust the angles, make sure each seat feels like an embrace.

Then: palo santo. Slow smoke curling through the air. Energy cleared. Space reset.

I water the plants with yesterday’s leftover tea—not a single drop wasted. They drink what we drank. Full circle.

The teawares go through the dishwasher, then back to their shelves by touch and memory. Everything in its right place.

Now? The door is open. Tea lovers welcome.

Private ceremonies begin soon. Sharing the knowledge. Pouring slow. Listening close. Watching someone’s first sip turn into a small exhale of “oh.”

This is the work. This is the zen.

Come through. A seat is waiting. 🤗🍃

In summer, your body is working hard to cool itself down.
Don’t make it work harder. ☀️🧊

Cold-brew green tea isn’t just refreshing —
it’s cooling by nature. No boiling water. No bitter rush.
Just three leaves, cold water, and patience.

Welcome to try our Green 🍃 Tea Flights.
Here are three I turn to when the heat feels heavy:

🍃 1. Yunnan Green Tea – dark, twisted leaves with a gentle malty undertone. Cold brewing brings out a soft, almost creamy sweetness. This one cools your core — that deep, stuck heat that makes you feel sluggish.

🍃 2. Taiping Hou Kui – long, flat, and impossibly smooth. Like a breeze moving through your chest. It clears surface heat — the flushed face, the irritated skin, the restless energy.

🍃 3. Bi Luo Chun – tiny spirals that taste like spring morning dew. Light, fruity, and floral. This one cools your mood — softening the short temper summer often brings.

No bitterness. No heat from brewing.
Just cool water, slow time, and a body saying thank you.

Let these three teas be your summer reset. 🍵❄️

Which one would you try first? Yunnan (🌿), Hou Kui (🍃), or Bi Luo Chun ()?

The kettle’s low thrum, a copper hum,
First note of the map where the silence comes.
Jia strikes the bowl—a porcelain sigh,
And steam-wraiths rise to a bell’s reply.

We bow to the leaf, to the vessel’s rim,
Each gesture a word in a language dim.
The scoop, the pour—no motion is waste,
A choreography carved by taste.

The singing bowl drifts on a cedar tray,
Its resonance walks where the shadows pray.
Jia’s fingers hover—a pause, a thread—
Then the gaiwan lid is gently shed.

Listen: the liquor unlocks its song,
A melody steeped for the listening tongue.
Bitter the first note, then plum and pine,
A chord of the earth in the shape of time.

We sip without speaking. The sound-journey flows
From wood to water, from breath to rose.
A wind chime stirs, though the window’s sealed—
This is music the silence agreed to yield.

At the final steep, when the leaves are spent,
We sit in the echo of what was meant.
No answer. Just this: the cup, the bell,
And Jia.

Pack your passport and a quiet sense of wonder.
Our 2026 Fall Tea Pilgrimage to Yunnan, China is gently taking shape. ✈️🍂
This is not just a journey—it is a homecoming to the living roots of tea.

We are humbled and honored to share that we will walk the ancient, mist-woven trails of Jingmai Mountain 🏔️🍃 — one of the world’s first UNESCO World Heritage Sites dedicated to tea culture.

Breathing in the stillness of thousand-year-old forests.
Standing beside tea trees that have witnessed generations unfold.
Listening to the quiet wisdom of the communities who have long cared for this sacred land.

This pilgrimage invites us to:
✨ Gently hand-pick leaves in protected, ancient tea gardens.
✨ Share a bowl of fresh tea with Pu’er masters in their homes.
✨ Watch the Sea of Clouds rise from mountain peaks—in silence, together.
✨ Deepen our understanding of tea as living culture: from soil to cup, from heart to heart.

Yunnan is not calling loudly—it is calling softly, patiently.
And we are ready to listen.

This will be a small, intimate, and immersive group experience.
Details and applications coming soon.

My inspiration 👩🏻 landed here. My business muse.

Watching my mom take in the energy of Tea Tell Truth—the people, the conversations, the quiet hum of connection—has been its own kind of meditation. She’s so proud of me 🫰, but more than that, her heart is warm. And so is mine ❤️.

It’s been a full month since returning from the tea trip. Instead of rushing, I’m trying to land gently. To notice. To receive.

And coming back to my tea friends—so supportive, so sweet—feels like coming home to a slow, steady breath.

Grateful for this moment. For her. For all of you. 🍃

Day 10 ☁️🍂
The tea trip comes full circle.

A farewell lunch at 逸道 in Shanghai—not just a meal, but a meditation on flavor, presence, and gratitude. Course by course, sip by sip: delicate Shanghai cuisine, each dish in quiet conversation with tea. The surprise guest of honor? A sparkling oolong, bright and celebratory, like tiny bubbles lifting the weight of goodbye.

We paused. We tasted. We sat a little longer than usual.

No rush to the next thing. Just this table, this tea, this circle of friends who followed leaves across mountains and cups into stillness.

Grateful for ten days of steeped moments.
And for the sweetest kind of farewell—one shared over tea. 🫖✨
