During last week’s storm, a couple of large trees came down, taking out sections of our orchard fence and causing some unexpected remodeling work.
We’re especially sad to report that one of our cherry trees didn’t make it. After surveying the damage, we’re counting our blessings that there was only one casualty. In the grand scheme of things, fences can be repaired, fallen trees can be cleaned up, and orchards have a way of teaching us patience.
Farming has a funny way of reminding you who’s really in charge. One strong storm can undo years of careful planning, but it also gives us a chance to roll up our sleeves and start rebuilding.
Here’s to stronger fences, calmer weather, and the resilient spirit of the orchard. 🍒🌳
