Looking through these photos made me emotional.
Seventeen years ago, I was a 20-year-old college grad trying to figure out how to run a grocery store.
Some days I was confident.
Some days I was terrified.
Most days I was just doing my best and hoping it was enough.
Now, I look at these girls.
The little girl playing cashier.
The little girl helping stock shelves.
The little girls who have spent so much of their childhood growing up in this market.
And I realize something.
Everything I’ve worked for was never really about proving anything to anyone else.
It was about showing my daughters what’s possible.
I want them to grow up knowing they belong wherever their dreams take them.
I want them to know they don’t have to ask permission to be leaders.
I want them to know that hard work matters, that resilience matters, and that their voice matters.
Most of all, I want them to know that they are capable of far more than they can imagine.
If these girls grow up believing that, then every challenge along the way was worth it.
Thank you for being a part of our story.
