We had two helpers this beautiful weekend. It's been fun riding bikes and driving toy tractors on the new floor, but there won't be room for that soon!

It has been a while. We put our project on hold for a couple reasons. Mainly, our second son was born, and we had to put some focus onto our old bank barn. During that time, I did tons of research, talked with people in the industry, and refined our plans for Buckeye Shrimp. We also decided to pour a concrete floor in the shrimp barn. I will be updating as we get our tanks put together and get our first shipment of baby shrimp.

Bob and I have been working on the barn when it's not too cold this winter. The electricians have a bit more wiring to do, but we are finally hooked up to have power! Bob has also been working on putting a bucket on his little old tractor, which will greatly help out as we move to our new project on the barn. We will keep posting our progress so you know when to expect fresh shrimp.

Construction has begun! Winter is coming too fast, and we have decided to start smaller and refinish an existing building for now. Once we get warm weather again (and hopefully lots of customers) we will expand and build the big shrimp barn.

The Buckeye Shrimp barn is under construction. Check back for updates. We will be posting pictures along the way and will let you know when you can finally get fresh, locally grown salt water shrimp right here in Ohio!
