It’s the cows’ favorite time of year…time for fresh pasture!!

We’ve had them locked up in the winter sacrifice area for the last month or so to let the pastures rest and grow! With all the rain we’ve been getting, they have produced very well, and the cows are so happy to finally not have to eat hay all day 😄

The warm weather is starting to move in and we’ve got a lot of great items for your grill!

• Pork Chops

And for those days it’s still a bit chilly….we have ground beef, beef roasts, beef stew….
and plenty of pork sausage (links and ground!) and naturally-cured bacon 🥓 for those delicious breakfasts! 🍳

The piglets are thriving in the forest and have settled in so nicely. They’ve made it through severe weather, flooding, heat, and freezing temps….all within a of couple weeks.
They are absolutely loving foraging around their pasture and forest paddock and have slowly come around to us 🙂
We only have them for a relatively short time, so we try to enjoy them and their personalities as much as we can.
Happy pigs make great pork! 🐷

I don’t know that I’ve ever seen a rainbow so bright! The photo does not do it justice!

We have a new group of feeder piglets for a fall harvest! 🐷

Since we had to butcher our boar, Kristoff, this winter, and we are waiting for Richard to get big enough to breed our girls, we decided to purchase some piglets from another farmer so we’d have fresh pork for this year.
We’ve been getting piglets from this farm for years before we started breeding our own, so I’m confident that the animals we purchased are going to do well and produce some amazing pork for our customers!

This is Elsa, and she is looking for a new farm to call home.
She just turned 3 years old, and has farrowed a few times unassisted and raised her litters well. She’s friendly and likes scratches and would be a great addition for someone looking for a new sow. She’s ready to breed! She’s approximately 400-450lbs.

We want to thank everyone who has donated their pumpkins and gourds to the farm this season so far! Our animals have thoroughly enjoyed them. 🐮🐷
We will be accepting pumpkins through mid-December, so if you were saving some for Thanksgiving decorations, we’d still be happy to take them when you are done!
