After some valuable input from friends, I've lowered the price of my beaded earrings to $10 each. I am also adding some fun hand painted earrings for $15. I appreciate all the continued support throughout my journey.

Our water dried up early this season so I'm really struggling to grow vegetables. I have a small amount still producing slowly though so I'm not giving up yet. I finally harvested oregano, thyme, peppermint, lemon mint, 4 varieties of basil, some sage, mullein leaves, beebalm, and lemon balm.

Between drying leaves, making tinctures, and all the in between I'll be as busy as all our bees here on the homestead!! 🐝

I used a ton of straight aged rabbit manure for all my vegetables this season and they are thriving! Have some companion planting going on with many crops. My three sisters garden is taking off with the recent rain. Pole beans and summer squash seeds in rabbit manure tires last week and this week they are happy and growing great! One of my many reasons I will continue to raise rabbits as long as we are homesteading.

I had a friend of mine ask me to make her a bee bath for her garden. I finally was able to sit down and get that done for her! So happy how it turned out. Will make a beautiful addition for her flower bed!

Happy 4th of July from the Homestead! I got pole beans, summer squash, and butternut squash planted. We officially have peas, bush cucumbers, zucchini, cherry & green zebra tomatoes growing on the plants! We also are getting potato blossoms on our plants, which I read means potato spuds are growing!

Have a safe and wonderful day no matter how you are spending it. πŸ‡ΊπŸ‡Έ

Yesterday Weezies Greenhouse had some free tomato starts available so I swung by and picked up a cherry and 2 green tomato types. I dug a hole deeper than the root ball, removed some of the lower leaves, and buried them to the remaining lower leaves. We got some good rain last night followed by a sunny hot day. I'll fertilize them and watch them take off. Hoping to get a few more seeds in the ground for more options later in the season.

Last year I got a raspberry bush from my middle son for mothers day and I got a blackberry bush from my daughter for mothers day this year...both are flowering! Looking forward to the growing and expanding berry patch in the yard. We also have a bunch of wild strawberries blossoming with 2 red berries eaten fresh tonight.

This is our first time attempting potatoes. I decided to try 2 different potatoes and 2 different methods. We went with fingerling and russets because they are our most desired types. To truly attempt to compare 2 different growing methods I planted russets in the ground I will mound throughout the season and russets in a cage to bury and fill over the season. So far it looks like whatever I'm trying they are really thriving. Can't wait to see how the season turns out. If all goes good we will grow potatoes every year.
