The Litchfield Homestead We make many types of items made from locally sourced ingredients & materials. It is our belief that this way is a great way to support our local economy.

Our products include handmade soaps & salves, and lots of beautiful woodworking creations. We are a small homestead located in the quaint village of West Townshend, Vermont. We truly believe that it is important to pull our resources from as close to home as possible. We aim to stay within a twenty mile radius, and every year the list of outside sources gets smaller in big ways. We also love to te

ach and are part of Wwoof-USA. It means even more to us to be able to pass our skills onto many different folks from many different parts of the world, working on that ripple effect. Check out our website or drop by our homestead shop to see what’s going on!

Call me to set up a shopping time! Things are getting crazy with teen sports and theater along with back to school. Maintaining being open Friday evenings isn’t going to work out for this season, but I’m working on figuring out something. Appointments are awesome!!

Our bear, beef, and pork tallow/lard based soaps also contain local milk, oats, olive oil, coconut oil, castor oil, and beautiful herbs, spices, flowers, and essential oils. Absolutely NO fragrance oils and no artificial colors… these gorgeous colors appear in nature every day.
