I am happy to announce our showmanshipinstructor for this year is Kendra Waldenberger.
Kendra Waldenberger is from Spring Grove, MN. She was heavily involved in 4-H and FFA growing up. In 2016, Kendra and her brother started Hobby Stock Brown Swiss, a small show herd that they raise and exhibit their Brown Swiss at local, state, and national levels. Kendra graduated from the University of Minnesota in 2023 where she majored in Animal Science with a dairy production emphasis and Agricultural Communication and Marketing. While at the University of Minnesota, Kendra was also on the collegiate dairy judging team where she found great success placing 7th individual overall, 1st team overall at the 2021 Vernon County Collegiate Contest and then went on to the 2022 All American Intercollegiate Contest where she was 5th individual overall, 1st team overall. To round out her judging career, Kendra was part of the 1st place team overall and while placing 3rd individual at the 2022 North American International Livestock Exposition. After graduating Kendra completed an internship with Ocean View Genetics in Wisconsin where she learned the ins and outs of raising elite show cattle. Currently, Kendra works for Select Sires Member Coop as a Genetic and Reproductive Trusted Advisor. Her role involves creating matings, linear scoring cows, sire selection, working with genomics, and running inventory calculators for customers. She enjoys getting the chance to judge shows and work with youth involved in the dairy industry.
Kendra is excited to work with the youth participants to share her tips and tricks as showmanship can make or break your animals success in the ring.
Thank you Kendra for helping us with our clinic!
