π Employee Spotlight: Paul, Sous Chef π
At Elizabeth's Catering, great food starts with great peopleβand this month, we're proud to spotlight our Sous Chef, Paul!
Paul has been part of the Elizabeth's family for a glorious year and three months, serving as the driving force behind our kitchen operations. As he puts it, his job is to be "the 8 hands of the octopus"βleading the team, keeping production on track, and making sure everything gets out exactly when it needs to.
When Paul first joined Elizabeth's, he was looking for a better work-life balance after years in fine dining. Today, it's the people and positive culture that make this place feel like home.
β€οΈ Favorite Part of the Job:
"I love to cook. Taking care of the food and organizing things really makes my OCD happy."
π Proudest Accomplishment:
"The food is so much better than when I first started. We make food that we can be proud of."
π‘ Best Advice He's Ever Received:
"Be ready for change in life because it's the only thing that remains constant."
π What Makes Elizabeth's Special?
"Wendy. Her positivity and belief in the importance of the impact the food has. It's more than just the numbers to her, and everyone can feel it."
π¨βπ³ Career Inspiration:
Paul credits much of his culinary foundation to Gus Martin, a mentor he worked alongside for 10 years through three different restaurants in Louisiana.
π Favorite Thing About the Team:
"David and his wok." While there may be quicker ways to cook, David insists on doing it one handful at a time and according to Paul, it makes all the difference. Sometimes doing things the right way is worth the extra effort.
Thank you, Paul, for your leadership, passion, and commitment to creating food we're proud to serve every day. We're lucky to have you on the Elizabeth's Catering team! π
