Ingredients:
✅ 1 teaspoon sea salt (for ri***ng the glass)
✅ Ice cubes (as needed)
✅ ¾ cup of Lola's Bloody Mary Mix
✅ 1 (1.5 fluid ounce) shot of vodka
✅ 2 dashes of Worcestershire sauce (optional)
✅ A couple of dashes of Lola's Fine Hot Sauce (Original)
✅ Salt and ground black pepper to taste
✅ 1 stalk of celery
✅ 2 garlic-stuffed green olives (threaded onto a toothpick)

Instructions:
1️⃣ Rim the glass with sea salt by dipping it in water and then into the salt.
2️⃣ Fill the glass with ice cubes.
3️⃣ Pour in ¾ cup of Lola's Bloody Mary Mix, followed by the shot of vodka.
4️⃣ Add 2 dashes of Worcestershire sauce (if desired) for an extra kick.

Time for a little history lesson with Lola's.

AAPI Month, also known as Asian American and Pacific Islander Heritage Month, is an annual observance in the United States that takes place in May to celebrate and honor the contributions, history, and culture of Asian Americans and Pacific Islanders.

The history of AAPI Month dates back to 1977 when a congressional bill was introduced by Representatives Frank Horton and Norman Y. Mineta to declare the first ten days of May as Asian-Pacific Heritage Week. The chosen dates were significant because it commemorated the first Japanese immigrants to the United States and the completion of the Transcontinental Railroad, which was built primarily by Chinese immigrants.

In 1990, President George H.W. Bush signed a bill that extended the observance to a month-long celebration, and since then, May has been designated as AAPI Heritage Month.

Lola's Fine Hot Sauce is proud to celebrate AAPI Month as a company that values and embraces diversity and inclusivity.

Here's a festive recipe for Cinco de Mayo Tacos with Lola's Fine Hot Sauce and Lola's Fine Salsa:

Ingredients:

1 pound ground beef or ground turkey

1 tablespoon olive oil

1 teaspoon garlic powder

1 teaspoon onion powder

1 teaspoon chili powder

1 teaspoon cumin

Salt and pepper, to taste

Lola's Fine Hot Sauce, to taste

Lola's Fine Salsa, to taste

8-10 taco shells or tortillas

Mexican Rice

Shredded lettuce

Diced tomatoes

Shredded cheddar cheese

Fresh cilantro, chopped

Lime wedges, for serving

Instructions:

Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.

Add the ground beef or turkey to the skillet and cook until browned, breaking up any large clumps with a spatula or wooden spoon.

Add the garlic powder, onion powder, chili powder, cumin, salt, and pepper to the skillet and stir to combine.

Cook Mexican Rice

Cook the seasoned meat for another 2-3 minutes until fragrant and evenly coated.

Add Lola's Fine Hot Sauce and Lola's Fine Salsa to the skillet, stirring to combine.

Reduce the heat to low and let the mixture simmer for 5-7 minutes until the sauce has thickened slightly.

While the meat mixture simmers, prepare the taco shells or tortillas according to package instructions.

To assemble the tacos, spoon some of the meat mixture into each taco shell or tortilla.

Top each taco with Mexican rice, shredded lettuce, diced tomatoes, shredded cheddar cheese, and fresh cilantro.

Squeeze a wedge of lime over each taco before serving.

Serve immediately with extra Lola's Fine Hot Sauce and Lola's Fine Salsa on the side.

The tale of how Lola’s Fine Hot Sauce came to be is a heartfelt one that stems from our family’s roots, growing up with a Pakistani dad and Filipino mom. It all began in West Des Moines, IA, where I found inspiration to turn my mother’s secret hot sauce recipe into a reality in August 2015. My mother had been making this sauce for her loved ones for years and it was so good we needed to share it with the world.

At Lola’s Fine Hot Sauce, our mission is to provide a truly unique hot sauce for everyone to enjoy. Our hot sauce is made from the freshest ingredients and contains each of the world’s most unique peppers for a delectable experience.
