🐴 Half Lease Available at Spring Valley Farm — Westbrook, CT 🐴

Hudson is a 16-hand, 17 year old OTTB gelding looking for a half leaser at Spring Valley Farm. He spent the past year primarily doing dressage work, focusing on balance, strength, and learning to use his body correctly. He also enjoys jumping and is continuing to develop in that area!

We’re ideally looking for an adult amateur, intermediate/advanced rider who wants a horse to enjoy, spend time with, and do some good flat work with.

✨ $350/month half lease
✨ On-property at Spring Valley Farm in Westbrook
✨ 2 lessons/month with Jenn required
✨ Opportunity to continue developing your riding and horsemanship

Hudson is a special guy who really thrives with a rider who knows how to listen to their horse… when to ask, when to give, and when to let him figure things out. We’re looking for someone who is going to genuinely LOVE him and give him attention 🤍

First show of the Spring Valley Show Season at SNEHA was accomplished Sunday May 3rd and at The Pines on saturday May 9th with Ainsley Strecker. The five riders, some started their show careers, some resuming after breaks, and some continuing with new horses!

Isla Palumbo, riding Shelby, accomplished so much at this first show; competing in her first ever cross rail and WTC equitation classes. She got two Reserve Champion awards in the 18-inch crossrails classes.

Hailey Braiden , making her debut with Miss Sassie Conclusion, competed in two halter classes and 3 undersaddle ranch classes.

Madeline Ford , making her debut showing with Jenn Braiden's Pony Dream a Little Dream, competed in nine walk-trot classes. Placing in four out of nine of her classes and one 2nd in the team classic with Hailey Braiden.

Anna Lindh resumes her show career with Hudson. The team competed in three undersaddle classes consisting of the Tip Thoroughbred Under Saddle classes. Placing two-thirds and a fourth!

Anna-Marie Badorek piloting our green horse Jk Frosted Bayou Bug at his first show of the year

Ainsley Strecker competed at The Pines for her first-ever horse show with her new horse, Birdie! The team had a great outcome in her classes, Color Breed and Adult English Pleasure!

The team could not have done it without their trainer, Jenn Braiden , supporting everyone every step of the way. Helping calm the first show jitters, she helped everyone keep the mindset of having fun. That's just what everyone did, leaving the ring with a smile regardless of placing.
The Spring Valley Show Team is ready to continue the season as we've had an amazing start! We are all excited to see where this show season takes us!
