First round greenhouse planting for 2021: lettuce, kale, spinach, Swiss chard, turnips, radishes. Spring is coming 🎉😊!

For those unaware, empty milk jugs provide a measure of protection for the baby sprouts - from the harsh sun, cold temps and winds, and gnawing teeth of little critters. Plus they’re FREE 😬

On this Election Day I must say I elect this tomato plant to be my current favorite!

Still producing in November at 8300 ft elevation ❤️ with 5 lbs picked today. She’s probably still holding 30-40 pounds of ripening fruits 😊

We succeeded in bringing our veggie stocks through the cold snap unfazed! 🎉 Plus the tomatoes are starting to come in!

We saw a low of 22.1 Fahrenheit and about 13” of snow for our Sept 8 storm.

We will be back at the Antler tomorrow morning with veggies and Marie’s famous pretzel rolls. We’ll have lettuce, a few tomatoes, kale, arugula, chard, spinach, mustard greens, and carrots

Good morning! We hope to see y’all out at the Antler this Sunday, August 9th for the return of fresh salad greens. The new starts are looking great!

We will have lettuce, kale, Swiss chard, arugula, basil, dill, parsley and some beets!

Along with Marie Bowers famous pretzel rolls!

Unfortunately we won’t be settting up at the Antler today or next Sunday as we wait for the next round of veggie plants to be ready.
The heat the last couple weeks caused current stocks to bolt.

FYI to our Westcliffe clients - the Veggie Box is not currently stocked with veggies.

We hope to get it refilled in the next couple days and will post to let everyone know it’s back up.
