Happy Thursday and Labor Day Weekend! We cannot believe it is the end of Summer already—it sure doesn’t feel like it outside! Make sure to enjoy one more weekend outside by the pool, enjoying the warm weather and sunshine before fall takes over as we all know what comes soon after those crisp fall days! As a reminder, Monday, September 7th we will be closed for the Labor Day Holiday so that our employees can enjoy the day with their friends and family—thank you for your understanding! If you need to pickup or order something, be sure to do so by this Sunday, September 6th as we are open all week for our normal hours through 4:00 PM Sunday!

In the meat department this week, our house blend Ground Sirloin is on sale for $10.38 a Pound! This delicious blend is a lean ratio, meaning that you get a robust flavor profile from the beefy sirloin, as well as a little extra juice and taste from the fat that we blend in. This is something that is healthier than chuck, while still providing a taste that doesn’t cut any corners. In case you missed the news— Chuck Wiebe, a Butcher and Manager who retired in 2020 from our sister location Mike’s, has unfortunately passed away. Some of you may know Chuck from shopping in Villa Park, and we wanted to pass along his celebration of life information to all.

Good Morning— for all of those who have inquired and have been wondering, Chuck’s Family has shared the celebration of life information which will take place on Friday, October 2nd from 5:30 - 9:30 PM at the Carpentersville Moose Lodge located at 309 Lake Marian Road Carpentersville, IL 60110. Thank you to everyone’s kind messages and comments remembering him!

We have been getting a lot of questions regarding our ground beef, where it comes from and otherwise. All of our meat products are USDA & domestically sourced here in the United States from Midwestern States like Iowa, Nebraska, and Indiana— this includes our ground chuck, sirloin, pork, and any of our other ground products. Specifically, our ground beef offerings like our chuck or sirloin are ground fresh every morning by our butchers for the finest and freshest quality that you can get using our own specific blends.
