Looking for farm help again! Perfect candidates would be a couple/family that has at least 2 family members who want full time work. Duties would include mechanic/shop, tractor operator, relief milking shifts. HOUSING may be made available to the right candidate(s). Paid vacation, retirement plan, medical reimbursement plan (not insurance), clothing allowance, and potentially housing with all utilities included. Must speak English and have a valid driver's license. This is a great gig for a family with young kids who want to save for a house of their own. Although we have posted Thank you's on our personal pages I am finally getting around to updating here. Thank you so much to all the family, friends, and neighbors who showed up, some of whom were here literally before the storm was completely gone yesterday evening. There were many others who offered but with trees down we didn't want people to have to navigate during evening hours, the offers were appreciated. We had roof tin, tires, plastic, glass, wood, silo staves.. strewn across the road and the driveways as well as in with some of the young stock and it was so wonderful to have extra hands to start clearing the mess. It was a lot to move out of the way so we could get around today to feed and care for the the livestock. Whether it was hauling tin off the road or running to town for food since we didn't have power, it was a big help. A big shout out to Alliant Energy as well - I really didn't think we'd have power back until tonight but it was back on in just about 12 hours, which was a huge relief because some of our livestock are not in an area we have set up for a generator and water and fencing was a big worry.

Haul one load a day, average 4 hours/day - more optional hours available. No CDL required, clean driving record and experience with large trucks necessary. Good strength and coordination with shoulders, arms, hands needed to reassemble pump. More hours available/optional. Hourly wage based on experience. We are looking for an experienced TRUCK DRIVER to haul only our milk with our truck ASAP! Average of 4 hours per day, some weekends and holidays must be worked but there is some flexibility in that as well, especially in the winter months; we would consider applicants who are "snowbirds" as long as they are here April to October. Individuals interested in more than 25 hours a week will have the opportunity to pick up more hours driving cattle to market and/or driving grain truck but that is optional. CDL is NOT required but a good driving record and experience with large trucks is essential. The pump is awkward to put together so applicants should have good strength and coordination in arms, hands and shoulders to complete this task once per day. Wages based on experience, the same benefits and perks as our full time people will apply to this position as well - paid vacation, clothing allowance, Medical Reimbursement Plan and SIMPLE retirement plan.
