We've been a little quiet, but it's been a busy week in the flower field! 🌱✨

Last weekend brought a wild wind and rainstorm that left parts of the field flooded and a few of our plants ended up with a little windburn. Thankfully, warmer days and sunshine followed. ☀️

Over two days, we rototilled several rows and planted lots of our summer annuals, including Blushing Bride zinnias in soft pastel shades and sunny golden sunflowers. 🌸🌻

As the temperatures cooled again toward the end of the week, a few of our snapdragons decided they couldn't wait any longer and started blooming. The rest are taking their time.

We've also thankful for the generosity of our community. A huge thank you to everyone who has dropped off jars, vases, and gardening pots for us to reuse and share this season. 💚♻️

Little by little, the field is growing.

First snapdragon bloom of the season! 😍

And it looks like plenty more are getting ready to follow soon. 💐

With the warm weather this week, we may even have flowers ready by the weekend… so keep checking back for updates from the field ✨

We had a busy weekend at the flower field! 🌱✨

We planted our winter-sowed snapdragons, nigella, verbena, gomphrena, and sunflowers we started at home. 🌸🌻

We also tilled and direct sowed phacelia, strawflower, white dill ammi, purple kisses ammi, saponaria, tall blue boy centaurea, albion black pod nigella, and white finch orlaya.
Phew!

The field is slowly filling with little pockets of future blooms and we’re excited to watch it all grow. 💚
