Altesino Brunello di Montalcino Vigna Montosoli 2021 comes from the estate’s five-hectare Montosoli vineyard, one of Montalcino’s most renowned sites. Altesino was among the first producers to vinify Montosoli separately, beginning with the 1975 vintage, establishing the vineyard as one of the earliest recognized Cru expressions of Brunello di Montalcino.

Made entirely from Sangiovese, the wine is aged for a minimum of two years in oak followed by at least four months in bottle. The estate describes a profile marked by floral aromatics, blackberry, pink pepper and balsamic notes, with a dry, warm palate and refined tannic structure. The 2021 vintage offers a particularly compelling opportunity to experience this historic expression of Montosoli.

Othello 2023, Napa Valley, is produced from the historic Napanook Vineyard in Yountville, the site where Christian Moueix established Dominus Estate in 1983. Today, the 103-acre vineyard produces three wines: Dominus, Napanook, and Othello, with each offering a distinct expression of its terroir. Othello is crafted by the Dominus Estate team as an accessible expression of this historic site.

The 2023 vintage is composed of 89% Cabernet Sauvignon and 11% Petit Verdot, with 20% new French oak. A notably cool and wet growing season delayed harvest, allowing the fruit to ripen slowly and evenly. The resulting wine is vibrant and earthy, with notes of purple plum and cacao, complemented by the brightness and expressive character for which Othello is known.

Penfolds Grange is a multi-vineyard Shiraz with an unbroken lineage dating back to the first experimental vintage in 1951. Officially recognized as a Heritage Icon of South Australia, Grange is crafted from fully ripe Shiraz sourced across South Australia’s leading wine regions, with each vintage expressing the character of the growing season while remaining true to the Grange style.

The 2018 vintage earned multiple perfect scores and reveals blackberry, blackcurrant, fennel, anise, chocolate, custard, and wild raspberry with a long, evolving finish. The 2019 is fresh and balanced, offering blueberry and blue-black fruits with chewy tannins and vibrant acidity. The 2020 opens with maraschino cherry before transitioning to Black Forest cake, blackberry, black cherry, and velvety, integrated tannins. The 2021 shows aromas of dark fruit, chocolate, balsamic, sesame, and frankincense, followed by layers of black fruit, licorice, menthol, star anise, roasted quince, peppercorn, Worcestershire sauce, and chocolaty tannins.

Come in and see Corrado for a bottle of Cipriani Bellini to celebrate International Bellini Day!

International Bellini Day is June 23rd each year. It was established by the Cipriani family, creators of the original Bellini at Harry’s Bar in Venice, and the first official celebration was held in 2025.

The Bellini itself was created by Giuseppe Cipriani at Harry’s Bar around 1948, made from white peach purée and Prosecco.

Napanook is made exclusively from grapes grown at the historic Napanook Vineyard in Yountville, a site whose history dates back to 1838 when George Yount planted some of Napa Valley’s first grapevines. Dominus Estate was established on the property by Christian Moueix in 1983, and today the vineyard remains entirely dry-farmed, allowing the vines to draw deeply from the land’s gravelly and clay-loam soils.

The 2018 Napanook reflects the estate’s philosophy of minimal intervention and restraint in both the vineyard and cellar. Produced from carefully selected vineyard blocks chosen for their lively fruit, soft tannins, and early-maturing character, the wine offers a bold yet approachable expression of the site. According to the estate, Napanook is known for its exuberant fruit, smooth structure, and medium-bodied texture, making it enjoyable in its youth while retaining the ability to age gracefully for more than a decade.

In 2012, the winery introduced the now-iconic black-and-white label design, giving Napanook a distinctive identity among Napa Valley wines. While Dominus Estate is closed to the public, the vineyard continues to produce three wines from this historic property: Dominus, Napanook, and Othello. The 2018 vintage stands as a compelling expression of one of Napa Valley’s most significant vineyard sites and the enduring vision of Christian Moueix.

Dominus Estate traces its roots to the historic Napanook vineyard in Yountville, one of Napa Valley’s earliest vineyard sites, first planted in 1836. The estate is owned by Christian Moueix, who recognized the potential of the property in 1981 and built Dominus into one of Napa Valley’s benchmark Cabernet Sauvignon-based wines. Produced entirely from estate-grown fruit, Dominus reflects a philosophy centered on site expression, balance, and longevity rather than overt power.

The 2023 vintage benefited from a long, cool growing season marked by abundant winter rainfall and remarkably stable weather throughout the year. The extended ripening period allowed the grapes to develop flavor, tannin, and acidity in harmony, resulting in wines noted for freshness, precision, and structure. Across Napa Valley, 2023 is already being regarded as one of the region’s standout recent vintages for Cabernet Sauvignon.

Dominus 2023 is composed of 87% Cabernet Sauvignon, 9% Cabernet Franc, and 4% Petit Verdot. The wine shows aromas of cedar, wild berry fruit, cocoa, and spice, supported by a finely detailed structure and polished tannins. Concentrated yet restrained, it combines depth and elegance with the balance and freshness expected to support long-term cellaring.

Petit-Figeac 2020 is produced by Château-Figeac, the historic Saint-Émilion estate owned by the Manoncourt family since 1892. The wine is made entirely from grapes grown on the Château-Figeac property and reflects the estate’s signature style shaped by its rare gravel soils and blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, and Merlot.

The château describes the 2020 vintage as combining freshness with concentration after a warm and sunny growing season. Petit-Figeac is crafted to show the elegance and balance of the estate in a more accessible style, with refined tannins, freshness on the palate, and earlier approachability while maintaining the structure and precision associated with Château-Figeac.
