Twins Ari and Adam Gootnick, born and raised in the Los Angeles suburb of Agoura Hills, began their family-owned business, Gooties Cones, in an effort to enhance and enrich the ice cream cone experience by providing premium flavored ice cream cones. Gooties Cones was founded in the Summer of 2007 on a family vacation in the beautiful Victorian Gardens of Canada when Ari bit into a plain and ordina
ry waffle cone. He analyzed the bland flavor and through his growing discontentment, instinctively created the idea of a flavored ice cream cone. Ari and Adam became instantly emphatic about the idea and about a year later, it became obvious to them through their growing interests of business to start a company. They brought in good friend, Gabe Polsky, who has earned his position as CFO. All three began developing various recipes of waffle cone flavors and after many failed attempts, they finally solidified six unique and tasty flavors which include- chocolate, vanilla, caramel, cinnamon, amaretto, and plain. Gooties Cones creates and markets premium flavored ice cream cones that provide quality, value, and innovation, the crunch, into the ice cream experience. Recently, Ari and Adam with the help of their successful and reputable mentors, father Ken Gootnick and grandfather Bill Gootnick, have shifted their business model, now just selling a dry mix (just add water and begin cooking on your very own waffle maker). Gooties Cones enriches the entire experience of eating ice cream. It gives the consumer a more creative and personal experience, as mixing and matching cones and flavors creates limitless possibilities. Ari and Adam plan to build a recognizable household brand and one-day flourish both in grocery stores and food services alike. These goals stimulate the creative process where Ari and Adam utilize their individual differences as twins to complete tasks and to make their vision become a reality.
