🚨 WE NEED YOUR HELP 🚨
Every share matters. It really does!
One of the things we're passionate about here at Flip Flop Farm besides the honey, the goats, the soaps, the lack of sleep, the long days, and the constant planning...
It's our Bees for the Brave program. We talked to a lot of you about it during the Oconee Farm Crawl and many of you donated and signed this hive!
This program allows us to provide a FREE beehive, equipment, and mentorship to support to a fellow local Veteran or First Responder. It's our way of saying thank you to the people who have spent their lives serving others.
But we need your help finding the right person.
We're asking everyone to share this post far and wide. Share it to veteran groups. Share it to first responder groups. Share it to your friends. Share it to your weird uncle who shares everything on Facebook anyway 😀
The more people who see it, the better chance we have of finding someone whose life could truly be changed by beekeeping.
That said...
🐝 Please think carefully before applying.
A beehive is not a houseplant.
The bees don't care if it's hot, cold, football season, deer season, vacation season, or "I forgot" season.
Beekeeping requires time, commitment, learning, and ongoing care. There will be equipment to maintain, inspections to perform, and lessons to learn. While we'll be there to mentor and support you, the bees still need someone willing to show up for them and you'll be required to put in the work!
We're not looking for the most experienced beekeeper.
We're looking for someone willing to learn, willing to commit, and willing to give these amazing creatures the care they deserve.
If that's you—or someone you know—please apply.
And if it's not you, please share this post. The perfect candidate may be one share away.
Help us put a hive in the hands of a local Veteran or First Responder. 🐝🇺🇸
