The last few weeks, between other activities, we’ve been working to get heifers and pairs out to grass. We’re almost there! Lots of good help and a few laughs make the long days go better.

These happy heifers are now roaming freely on the green grass. We’re about halfway there to getting everything turned out!

Today we worked a little over 600 head of heifers. We started around 9:00am and finished up around 6:00pm with minimal breaks. It was a long day, but happy to have it done! 🥱

Today we took full advantage of the beautiful weather and Spring break! It was a productive day of cleaning up some of the pastures we are able to rent over the summer. We also got a little fishing in!

We were short staffed today but the three of us got a lot done! We worked a handful of new cattle and Austin stepped up and ran the chute and took care of business when one tried to sneak by. Jovie and I moved most of the panels and got the pig pens ready for 4-H pigs. 💁🏼‍♀️💪 Good work team! Now on to watch Easton hoop it up at a basketball tournament.

Our marketing team has been slacking. 🙃 We’ve developed a great system working together, but it doesn’t allow time for photography! We’ve been preg checking cows, getting cattle in for the winter turn and taking advantage of the warm winter so far.

This week we moved some cows down the county road from summer grass to the sale barn (after a short water and food break at the feedlot). The older boys were gone all week, so the boss called up the JV squad! 💪🏻
