I spent the entire day "horsing around" with our 2023 foals! What a beautiful group of foals this year! Just take a peek at pasture shots of Diamond M Gamblers Devine Legacy aka: Legacy @ 3 days old!😍 Last photo I attached is his sire; DMS Gambling Man...!

You know it's going to be a good day when it starts off like this.....our last foal of the year was born @ 7:00 am! It's a c**t to be named and additional photos to come! This handsome c**t is out of Steller Divine & by DMS Gambling Man. This is our 165 foal born to our stables over the years! About 30 mins. old in this photo and waiting to stand for the first time! It's now 1:18 and I just double checked dam & foal. Doing very well...photos later today!

Named this handsome refined little c**t late last night, Diamond M Gamblers Devine Legacy aka: "Legacy". Remember we like to use parts of sire & dam name. Hence; Sire - Diamond M Gambling Man & Dam - Graham's Miss Stellar Devine.

Body clipping continues...met Diamond M Believes Lilibet from under all her baby coat. Dam; DMS Whiskey Always Believe and Sire; DMS Bet Me and Lose, born April 10th. She loved every minute of her body clip as soon as I convinced her how much cooler she would feel. Knuckle deep coat was almost like I was sheering a sheep! If only every foal was so perfectly willing to accept being clipped. Look at this beautiful head, large eye, swan/upright neck and shoulder angle.
So proud of this years foals! Karen Meridew, you as well should be so proud, great granddaughter of a dam called Trinket. Thank you for allowing me to own her... my eyes could see what she had to offer our breeding program! At the same time thanks to the Caldwell's...owning Caldwell's Whiskey By Graham has certainly added to my breeding program! "Whiskey" is the maternal grandsire of this beauty!

Diamond M Simply Divine aka; Diva, pasture time and showing herself off to neighboring foals. At one point set herself up and standing as if she where showing. Dam; Caldwell's Queen of Crystal Blues and Sire; Caldwell's Whiskey By Graham. In neighboring pasture is Diamond M Truly Adores Whiskey aka; JD, showing off for the fillies. This c**t is just simply something else when it comes to "LOOK AT ME ATTITUDE", something breeders strive for. This c**t just does it all so naturally. Dam; RHA Trou Lee Scrumptious and Sire; Caldwell's Whiskey By Graham. Almost weaning time for first foals...where has summer gone?

All kinds of "wild" things happening at the stable! "Shed Corral" has been busy, hustle of mare breeding season in full swing and visiting with friends when I can. Waiting on last mare to foal and will be moving her to mare cam soon!

I couldn't believe my eyes when visiting a friend deep in the city of Bowling Green, Ohio....wild turkeys just wandering through her neighbors yard! She said, " oh yea all the time"! You should hear them land on roof and I can only image! They get deer, wild turkeys and of course plenty of squirrels in their yards, not a very wooded area. I think neighbor are already planning Thanksgiving maybe...hum? Can you say Country Turkey, City Turkey, seems like I read a book similar as a child ("County Mouse, City Mouse")! Look close at the photo to see them right between trees. They strutted right down the sideway before I caught up with them to photograph! Just a fun moment to share, additional stable photos soon!

Summer sizzle....Very humid, 92 degree day! I wasn't looking forward to chore time, unusual for me. But, had to smile when I was about to step outside my back door! Three rabbits all eating clover right under my feet almost! Just to make you smile for the day! Too hot to be in a hurry to get away, 2 of 3 stayed put!

Just had the time of my life with 2023 foals in the pasture before rain yesterday! One particular c**t, Diamond M Truly Adores Whiskey just kept showing off till we finally got the camera in hand! Enjoy the photo shoot we did of "JD" while he played in pasture yesterday. This is what makes me proud as a mini/pony breeder!

Yesterday, just a beautiful summer day and certainly a viewing pleasure in the stud turn outs. Diamond M Bet Me & Lose and one of his c**t progeny, Diamond M Gambling Man were side by side in these corrals! Of course challenging each other from their boundaries...NO your not looking the mirror, just result of years of very careful breeding! EDITING post already to show you more of this genetic line...Diamond M Stables. I have now attached a second c**t progeny, Diamond M Bet All Your Chips and two grand get, Diamond M Take Center Stage(filly) and Diamond M Blackjack Boogie(c**t), just to show you just what I mean about looking in the mirror! As as breeder, color is not as important to me as conformation being my first concern. However, my favorite color has always been black equine because their show shine is so obvious...this line certainly makes me smile for lots of reasons, just take a look for yourself!

Waited as not to take away from my friends tribute...posting our filly, Simply Divine born June 20th @ 11:30 pm! It is with such pride that I post this filly's photo today out of Caldwell's Queen Crystal Blues and Caldwell's Whiskey By Graham. Welcome Diamond M Stables Simply Divine who made me tear up, while assisting with foaling, thinking how proud my friend Billy would be seeing his beauty mare foal this day. The very day I got word of his passing. Thanks again to the Caldwell's for allowing me to own the sire & dam of this treasurer! Welcome Diamond M Simply Divine.

It is with heartfelt sympathy that I post this very meaningful condolence to Margie Caldwell who lost the love of her life, my friend Billy Caldwell. I found out late this afternoon a very dear friend of mine passed away Sunday morning. You see the Caldwell's allowed me to own 13 of their precious Shetland herd. These attached photos will forever be part of my memory. I went to a show in southern Ohio just to watch this friend of mine show a few of his precious Mini/Shetlands. Rest in peace my dear friend, Billy Caldwell!

Spent yesterday body clipping and thought you might like to see a very hairy beautiful photo of one of our mares, Caldwell's Look On The Bright Side in all her glory. Her 2023 filly, Cald This One Mary Margaret, is certainly a breathtakingly beautiful little refined gal with head to make you turn and look. Ears tipped just right and screams look at me every time someone looks in on her!
